Golfo Gabella Lake Resort is located in one of the most beautiful places on the Lombardian shore of the Lago Maggiore, directly overlooking the lake.
The municipality of Maccagno (Va) profits from a delightfully mild climate that offers vacation options all year-round. In spring and summer one can swim in the lake and sunbathe on the lovely rocks and beaches; in autumn and winter one can practise a wide variety of sports and discover the cultural and artistic wonders that abound thoughout the territory.
Divided into two parts by the river Giona, Maccagno is situated at the entrance of the gorgeous Veddasca valley: solitary, wild, rocky and green with an ancient history of human settlements as demonstrated by the discovery of prehistoric cave paintings. A characteristic feature of the valley are the old stone houses, built almost on top of each other, which formed small villages that were originally only accessible by mule trails.
While hiking through the Veddasca valley, one can still admire an extraordinary flora and an untouched fauna, such as chamois roaming freely in the wild. There are many lookout points that offer an inimitable panoramic view onto the lake. Several trails start in Maccagno and reach the various mountain pastures, where they produce the excellent local raw milk cheese. It is also possible to join guided hiking tours or to organise mountain bike excursions.
The Marina
The lakeside promenade is the only piece of land that separates the resort from the lake and the new tourist port: a unique and enviable waterfront location with a spectacular view.
Exit the resort and cross the promenade: a few steps and one reaches the new tourist port that offers 32 boats berths up to 12 metres in length. Whoever buys an apartment in the resort will have the option of obtaining a private boat berth for sailboats or motorboats.

Golfo Gabella Lake Resort consists of five buildings, which contain total of approximately 90 apartments of various types and sizes, with terraces, gardens and underground parking spaces. Many different homes, but they all share a common denominator: absolute prestige.
The Residence
The Residence is composed of twelve apartments. soberly furnished and equipped with every comfort. Each apartment has a direct access to the heated pool and its panoramic lake-view deck. They all have large balconies (most with views onto the lake) as well as Wi-Fi internet access. The common areas include a small fitness room and a meeting room. Every apartment has a covered parking space, and a private entrance to the building. Guests can profit from the additional facilities offered by the Golfo Gabella Lake Resort, such as the bar and restaurant (each with a terrace facing the lake) and the the private port (berth rentals, boat rentals, maintenance assistence). There will also be a spa centre opening in 2012.
The Residence Golfo Gabella has been designed with the environment in mind. Specific choices were made concerning materials, construction and installations that do not require gas to guarantee the conservation of energy by 30%. Even the luxurious finishings were chosen in order to maximize eco-compatibility. The Residence is classified as an Energy Class B building.

About us
